Paragliding is available:

Children and teenagers aged 5 to 16 are welcome, provided they are accompanied by parents or guardians.
For individuals aged 60 to 75, a written medical clearance confirming the absence of cardiovascular diseases is mandatory.
We offer paragliding experiences to individuals with disabilities in categories 2-3 and those with limited physical abilities.
Please note that the altitude, direction, and duration of the paragliding flight may vary depending on weather conditions to ensure your safety and comfort.

Pay attention to weight restrictions:

For our «heavier» guests weighing over 80 kg, there is an additional charge of 99 GEL.
If your body weight exceeds 100 kg, a special option with a surcharge of 149 GEL is available for you.
Passengers weighing over 110 kg may be accepted upon prior coordination with our team.

Paragliding, what is it?

A paraglider is an ultra-light aircraft made of special fabric lines. All paragliding equipment has European certification. During certification, the paraglider passes several strength tests, as well as entry and exit in abnormal flight modes. To take off, the paraglider must be connected to the harness of the passenger and pilot. The instructor's suspension seat has a reserve parachute. A modern parachute wing for skydiving visually resembles a paraglider, but it is completely different. A parachute is a means of saving lives, and a paraglider is an ultralight aircraft on which it is possible to fly more than 550 kilometers.

TANDEM PARAGLIDING

The tandem paraglider was originally created to make training flights with students, cadets of paragliding schools. But not many people can afford expensive paragliding training. Today, paragliding in tandem with an instructor is available to everyone. Now, in order to feel the flight and feel like a bird, you do not need to spend time and money on long-term training, everyone can touch the sky!

In a tandem system, the seat for the passenger is in front of the instructor, which provides a better view and realism around what is happening.

All flights with the SkyAtlantida team are carried out in accordance with the rules and procedures established by the Georgian International Paragliding Federation.

The takeoff of a paraglider is carried out due to the oncoming flow of the headwind. To take off, we need to take a run, creating an aerodynamic force that promotes takeoff, and sometimes it takes just a few steps to take off into the sky. When the instructor asks you to «dance a little with him» or run down the slope, do not try to sit or jump, because without your help we will not be able to take off. Try to control your fear don’t try to sit down, just run down the hill, that’s the real thrill! Just move forward until we take off (usually 5-10 meters).
Your instructor will tell you when to stop and sit comfortably.
Note: if you are very scared on takeoff, but still want to paragliding, it means that we need help. With your consent, specially trained guys will help us run.

We will provide you with the entire range of necessary for a comfortable flight for free.

Note: On the flight, better to take clothes according to the weather. Shoes should be comfortable for running. Flight with glasses will be more comfortable. Gloves will not be superfluous.

Safely

Landing on a paraglider is very easy and safe, you are required to raise your legs and follow the instructions of the pilot. Our instructors will do everything at the highest level.
